Tafsir Surah al-Kahf by Sheikh Uthaymeen

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever recites Soorah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”
(al-Hakim, al-Bayhaqi)

“Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Soorat al-Kahf will be protected from the tribulation of the Dajjal.”
(Muslim)

“Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf as it was revealed, a light will shine for him on the Day of Judgment—from his place all the way to Makkah.”
(al-Mustadrak, Sahih)

This surah is not only a source of light and protection, but also a powerful reminder of trials, patience, and the reality of this world. It speaks of the youth of the cave, the story of Musa and Khidr, and the fitnah of wealth, knowledge, power, and faith.

Make it a habit to recite, reflect upon, and live by Surah al-Kahf. It is a companion in both life and the grave.
